Alyvia had a lot of fun playing soccer for the first time this year. I'll admit it was a little (Ok, a lot) tiring adding it into the mix of her other activities. It seemed like every night we were running here and there, and while it was fun, I was wore out. She loved it though. Asher went to almost every pracitce and game and watched (ok, sometimes watched her and most times watched Blue's Clues on the ipod). He was a pretty good sport about it though. She had practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and games Saturday mornings. Only got rained out a few times. She really liked to play goalie the best. She told me it was because she couldn't ever catch up to the other kids to do anything with the ball and being goalie she was the only one doing that on her team so she got to do "stuff". She did make a pretty cute little soccer player.

Asher Farming
Asher got to go farming with PaPa. They had to disc up the cornfield by our house. He went, because he knew it was going to be a John Deere Tractor. Asher is a John Deere boy and will only want to go in the John Deere. He had to put on his John Deere hat, shirt, and jacket and pack his John Deere lunch box. He wanted to pack a tractor, drink, and some snacks-animal crackers and meat sticks. He was ready to go.
Ready to go!

He loves John Deere

He always likes to say "Nothing runs like a Deere"

Simbro Family Reunion
The first weekend of every October is the annual Simbro Family Reunion. In Glenwood and the Community Hall. This year, it seemed like not as many people. But of course, there were a lot of kids running around. The food was yummy as always. Some of the kids went to the park after dinner and had a fun time.

School Pictures
Alyvia had her first ever school pictures. Here she is on picture day in her cute little outfit. I had a few choices set out for her because it was also Dress Your Best Day for Homecoming week. I knew she would pick this one because of the lime green shirt, and of course it was her top pic. She looks so grown up in this outfit. And I can't wait to see her school pictures.

A few weeks ago we were lucky that Josh was home for the weekend of the Kirksville Airshow
We took the kids. It was a gorgeous beautiful day and could not have been better weather. Here are a few pics. The kids loved it. Alyvia was so cute taking pictures of the planes too with her fisher price camera.

After the show one of the stunt planes pilot was signing pictures for people. Alyvia and Asher went with Nana and waited a while in line to get one. They got to their turn and got the last picture. He asked the names and Asher said in his voice "Asher and Alybia" So the guy wrote it like "Alybia". She noticed that it was spelled wrong, but it was the last picture he had. So now they have an autograph of "Asher & Alybia".
I thought it was pretty funny and it reminded me of when Josh & I were in the Bahamas and bought Asher a little turtle thing from one of the shops. A lot of the stuff there is engraved and such for gifts and the girl asked me if I wanted a name on it. So I said sure thinking they would paint it on or something. She pulled out a sharpie marker and started writing and I was about rolling on the floor laughing. When she asked how to spell his name, I was still shocked because she was using a sharpie that I said A-S-S instead of ASH for the first letters and she wrote it. And I was gonna go ahead and buy it because it said Asser on it. But she noticed that it was cracked so it worked out great that I got another one. It was pretty funny and this reminded me of it.

Alyvia's First Soccer Practice
These are the best I could get at her first practice. She wasn't too fond that she had to wear her bandana but it was sunny and she had just had laser. She lasted most of the practice before she begged me to take it off and I caved. The funniest thing was on the way there she asked me What base she was gonna play? I had to laugh. "I don't know much about sports hunny, but the bases are in baseball and not soccer." It was too funny. Her and Jacie were pretty much side by side at that practice. Probably wishing they could go play........

The Craziness starts
This week is when all of the crazyiness starts. Alyvia starts Dance and Awanas both on Wednesday. It will be a mad rush from picking her up from school, to taking her to Bloomfield for dance, and back to Lancaster with just a few minutes to eat before she has to be at Awanas. She is also playing soccer for the first time. She had her first practice last night. She has soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings, and games on Saturday mornings. She has Dance and Awanas on Wednesdays so it is going to be busy busy busy. I would really love for her to take piano lessons and she wants to, but that is going to have to wait until next year. Hopefully by then, she will be used to getting up for school, and we can start them maybe once a week.

I love this video. It was from Pioneer Days and Andrew and Alyvia are going down the big slide. Her squeal and giggles make me laugh so much.

Asher did so good saying his ABC's. He was trying so hard to say each letter right and it was so cute.
